Since we returned to Wellington we have been living in rented accommodation. I chose the house we live in as it ticked seven out of the ten boxes (it backs onto the local school). I knew that coming from the most idyllic setting beside the sea with a gorgeous climate and back to the City, it would be important for us live amongst the trees or beside the sea. The house that fitted the criteria was in a valley amongst the trees. I have always been aware of how, having a view out the windows of your house is very important and how it can impact your "view on your life". It has been the wettest winter on record and we have been very house bound with three children including one boy toddler ahhhhh! We are at the bottom of a valley on a slight hill looking out to other houses and because of the rain, there has often been fog lying low into the valley. I really noticed especially after driving over the hill, into town today and getting an up high view of the harbour, just how much my view on life has become really "closed in" just like the fog that surrounds our house. It does really affect your well being. What is the view like from your house? Do you have a beautiful view and therefore a beautiful outlook on life? Or is your view out of your window of the apartment building right next door? So do you therefore feel like you have no space in your life? You really would be surprised how this affects you.
PS I will keep you posted on a sea view we maybe basking in, very very soon!
